Immersive Marae Day & Relational Engagement for Non-Māori Individuals
For many non-Māori individuals, engaging confidently and respectfully within Māori contexts can feel uncertain. Fear of getting it wrong often leads to avoidance, silence, or surface level engagement. Wolfgramm Holdings addresses this gap by building relational capability that is practical, progressive, and grounded in real world application.
Māori relational engagement is not about memorising protocols. It is about understanding values, intent, and behaviour. It is about knowing how to enter spaces with humility, clarity, and respect. To support this journey, Wolfgramm Holdings offers a structured three level learning pathway, designed to meet people where they are and build confidence over time.
Level One: Relational Engagement
Level One, Relational Engagement, is an entry level session focused on mindset and foundations. Participants learn how relationships are formed in te ao Māori, why context matters, and how everyday interactions shape trust. This level builds awareness and reduces uncertainty by providing clear guidance and shared language.
Level Two: Pōwhiri and Whakatau Readiness
Level Two, Pōwhiri and Whakatau Readiness, moves into intermediate understanding. Participants learn what is expected when entering Māori spaces, the meaning behind process, and how to prepare appropriately. This session supports individuals and organisations attending marae, hosting Māori stakeholders, or engaging in culturally significant moments.
Level Three: Mana Motuhake in the Workplace
Level Three, Mana Motuhake in the Workplace, is an advanced session exploring power, responsibility, and self-determination in modern organisations. Participants examine how systems, leadership behaviour, and decision making can either enable or undermine Māori participation and wellbeing.
All three sessions are delivered on a marae. This lived experience includes a traditional welcome, shared kōrero over tea and biscuits, and learning grounded in the history and carvings of the wharenui. The setting deepens understanding and makes the learning immediate, human, and memorable.
The goal is not perfection. It is confidence, understanding, and stronger relationships.
If you or your organisation wants to engage respectfully and effectively with Māori colleagues, partners, and communities, this pathway is the place to start. Register for an upcoming session and build relational capability that strengthens trust, connection, and long term impact.
